How To Buy Fresh Flowers?
After we buy flowers home, we always wish them to live as long as possible. Whether flowers are fresh or not is directly related to the length of appreciation. The following are some recipe knacks for buying fresh flowers .
First, picking the time
Just like vegetables we buy, flowers bought in the morning are usually more fresh than those bought in the evening because the flower markets and some large florists usually stock flowers in the morning.
Second, watching
Firstly, look at the opening degree of flowers. If it is for yourself to appreciate, you would better pick those not fully opened, especially lilies and sunflowers. Secondly, look at the petals and leaves. Fresh flower petals and leaves are very shiny and very spiritual. Gerbera petals should look flat. If petals are not in a plane petals, looking uneven, then they are not fresh flowers. Fresh starry looks very white, with full flowers. If you feel that the flowers are deflated, dry, and black, then they are not fresh ones. For anthurium, if it looks black, with weak stigma in the middle, then it is not fresh, too.
Three, touching
Fresh flowers are usually fully absorbent, very stiff. If the buds are soft when pinching up, such as roses, the flowers must not be fresh; fresh love grass should be felt soft and moist in the hand but if it is hard just like a hay, then it must not be fresh; the methods to discern whether carnation is fresh or not is mainly in the stern. For those which are felt sticky, with yellow hair stem end rot, then they must not be fresh.
